From the days of the early church to today false teachers and bad theology have been a constant threat to the faith of believers and the health of our churches. Today these “empty talkers and deceivers” (1:10) disseminate their unbiblical ideas from pulpits, podiums, and podcasts at such a rate it’s hard to avoid them (Rom. 16:13).
Paul wrote The Epistle to Titus in light of the threat of false teachers and their influence by encouraging the churches and their leaders to hold fast to sound doctrine which leads to godly lives and effective ministry.
Truth that Transforms is a sermon series through Paul’s letter to Titus that aims at unifying us in truth that leads to godliness, empowers mission, and guards against false doctrine. While our previous series, Walking with God, focused on the individual’s life of faith and piety, this series encourages the life of faith lived together in the church with an outward orientation to live God-honoring lives for the good of the lost around us.
