Would our lives change if we recognized the presence of God and sought the pleasure of God in all aspects of our life? Would our faith grow stronger? Would our joy multiply? Would we see more of God’s work and glory in the small and mundane parts of our lives? The answer to these questions is, “Yes!”

Our first sermon series for 2026 is a practical guide for growing in and maintaining communion with God in all areas and aspects of life. Walking with God was inspired by three of my favorite books on piety: Lewis Bayly’s, The Practice of Piety (1611), Robert Bolton’s, General Directions for a Comfortable Walking with God (1626), and Henry Scudder’s, The Christian’s Daily Walk (1627). These were pastoral and practical instructions for maintaining true Christian piety–a devotion to and experience of God in all of life. This series is essentially a modern “Practice of Piety.”

The aim of Walking with God is to encourage each of us to live all of life before the face of God and in communion with Christ.
